Amazing Paper Grace Snip It Flowers Anniversary Card

Kia ora Koutou

I have been a huge fan of Becca Feeken since she first started Amazing Paper Grace and I have absolutely loved her intricate and decorative designs that can be used in so many ways. The Amazing Paper Grace September 2019 Die of the Month – Snip It Flowers is one of these dies that can be used in so many ways and I know that I will be using this die a LOT! I love the floral motifs that can be snipped to create lots of different designs and here I have created a small square with the die and framed them with the newer Picot Petite Square and Fluted Classic Square dies for an elegant, timeless and classic design. Of course I had to add some flowers, butterflies and pearls to finish the card.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card I have made a 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ top folding card base out of heavy white cardstock. I then added a layer of gold, ivory and blue cardstock. I cut another piece of ivory and blue cardstock and layered them together and added this to the front of the card with fun foam. I die cut two panels of the Snip It Flowers out of ivory cardstock and trimmed one die to 9 flowers. I then trimmed the flowers only of the second die and adhered them to the complete die for a little more dimension. This was then added to the front of the blue square. I die cut the larger floral motif out of blue cardstock and the smaller floral motif out of ivory cardstock and layered them to the centre of the flowers.

I die cut the large square frame from the Picot Petite Square dies out of gold cardstock and then added the large square frame die cut from the large Fluted Classic Square dies out of ivory cardstock. The whole frame was then added to the front of the decorative dies with foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment from the All Occasions Sentiments Stamp in Wow embossing ink on vellum and heat embossed it with fine detail gold embossing powder. I die cut this out using the banner die from the Just a Note Sentiments Tag Clear Stamp and Die Set and adhered this to the centre of the card at each end only and added a pearl to each end to hide the glue.

I die cut the leaf flourish from the My Sweet Friend die set out of light green cardstock, trimmed it and added it around the right side of the sentiment. I die cut small flowers using the dies from the Petite Floral Potpourri die set and coloured them with pink, yellow and blue inks. These were shaped and I added some wire pollen stamens to the centre. I trimmed the wires and added the flowers over the leaves and around the sentiment as shown.

To finish I added two butterflies from the Butterfly Garden Shutter set made from ivory, blue, black and gold cardstocks and white pearls to the centre of the flowers on the background die.

Amazing Paper Grace Carnations

Kia ora Koutou

I have been in a flower making mood lately and had another look at the Amazing Paper Grace Sweet Cottage Flowers dies to see what I can make with these dies. I had been seen a few paper carnations lately and thought I would give these dies a go at making paper carnations and they came out beautiful!! Because these were larger flowers I made a larger card base to place them on and I used the stunning Amazing Paper Grace Victorian Splendor Slimline dies which were a die of the month from June 2021 to create a beautiful lacy base for the flowers. This larger card that would be great for any special milestone or occasion and as a keepsake in a frame.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

To make my card I have created a side folding 7″ x 5 3/4″ card base out of white cardstock. I then cut a piece of Snowdrift cardstock 7″ x 5 3/4″ and adhered it to the front of the card. I cut three decorative strips from the Amazing Paper Grace Victorian Splendor Dies out of Snowdrift cardstock and three shadow dies out of Glacier cardstock. The decorative strips were adhered to the blue shadows. I cut a piece of Glacier cardstock 6 3/4″ x 5 5/16″ and adhered the decorative strips to the blue card and then adhered the decorative panel to the front of the card.

I die cut the large postage edge oval from the Amazing Paper Grace Postage Edge Oval Dies Dies out of Snowdrift cardstock and adhered it to the front of the card. I then die cut the stitched edge plain large oval out of Glacier cardstock and adhered it to the front of the white postage edge oval. I die cut two large label dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Victorian Splendor Dies out of Snowdrift and embossed one before adding it to the centre of the oval. I die cut two small label dies out of Snowdrift cardstock and stacked them together. I stamped the image from the Amazing Paper Grace All Occasions Sentiments Stamp and Die set in Obsidian ink on Snowdrift cardstock. I die cut and embossed the sentiment using the small label die and then adhered it to the stacked small labels. I die cut a small shadow die out of Glacier cardstock and adhered it behind the stacked labels and then adhered the completed label to the front of the larger label. I die cut two edges from the larger slimline decorative die from the Victorian Splendor Dies and trimmed them to make four corners. Two corners were added above the label and two were added below the label.

I die cut, coloured and shaped the flowers into carnations using the Amazing Paper Grace Sweet Cottage Flowers. I used two petals of each size to make the large carnations. These were coloured with Ballet Slipper inks and edged with Sparkling Rose ink. I spritzed the petals and then using a small ball stylus I made lines in each petal to break the fibres and then I then pleated each petal and allowed them to dry. These were assembled using the large dies at the base and working to the small dies at the top. For the small buds I have used one small and one medium petal and then added a sepal from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go III Flowers set die cut out of pastel green cardstock. I made the stems using the stem dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Layered Tulip Dies and added the leaves to the stems from the Sweet Cottage Flowers Dies.

I added the leaves from the Sweet Cottage Flower dies around the left side of the oval and then adhered the flowers over the leaves. I added some flowers that I had left over from another project made using the Amazing Paper Grace Petite Floral Potpourri Dies as fillers and then added small leaves from the Victorian Splendor Dies which were die cut out of Rainforest cardstock around the flowers and larger leaves. To finish my bouquet of flowers I added a white bow made from seam binding ribbon.

To finish I added white pearls to highlight the decorative labels and corners.

Butterfly Hugs

Kia ora Koutou

I am a bit late with this challenge but I have had some camera issues and eventually had to get a new camera which I am still learning to use. This card is for the Pink Fresh Studio February 2024 Challenge which was to use the following Pink Fresh Studio inks Sparkling Rose, Sunkissed, Spruce Tips, and Paradise and gold or have some hearts in your project. I went for the inks as I do have them and I was very happy with my pretty colourful butterflies. I had to add the green inks and as I did not have any Pink Fresh Studio leaf dies I decided to do some ink smooshing with the Paradise and Spruce Tip inks and create a shaker element that looks like sky with the opal coloured sequins looking like clouds. I have used the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Twist Circle dies to create the frame as this is similar to a Pink Fresh Studio die. I created some subtle texture just with scoring every 1/8″ on the top panel and finished the card with some hot foiled sentiments in gold and some gold pearls.

I recently purchased the gorgeous Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Amaryllis Honey Cuts and my goodness this is a fabulous flower set to get. I had very few get well cards and this set was perfect for one. Here I have coloured the bowl, flowers and leaves with Copic markers and assembled them using foam squares for more dimension. Because the flowers are so dramatic I just added a white on white background by die cutting the Honey Bee Stamps Burlap Honey Cuts out of white cardstock and adding it to the front of the card. Add a sentiment and some iridescent rhinestone and the card was made very quickly.

Amazing Paper Grace Adoring You Valentine’s Day Card

Kia ora Koutou

I have another Valentine’s Day card to share with you today. This card is full of sparkles, flowers and hearts with a couple of sweet butterflies for a wonderful romantic card that says I love you so beautifully.  I have used the Amazing Paper Grace Filigree Quartet dies to create a beautiful background for the hearts from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – December 2022 Sweetheart Envelope and Notecard and the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – January 2021 Pop Up 3D Vignette Valentine’s Mailbox along with some beautiful peony and butterfly ephemera for an olde worlde/shabby chic feel but with a timeless and elegant look. And I was really happy with the colour combination of white, gold and pink that matched the flowers perfectly while the ivory glitter cardstock had hints of gold to create the overall harmonious effect.  Who wouldn’t want to receive this card on Valentine’s Day?

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my project today I have made a top folding 5 7/8″ x 5 7/8″ card out of Pink Sand cardstock. I then layered gold and white cardstock to the front of the card. I die cut the decorative square using the shadow die and the decorative insert dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Filigree Quartet dies. I then die cut the four panels using the inner shadow dies and the decorative insert panels and adhered them to the top of the decorative square. I die cut a plain square out of Ivory glitter cardstock and then adhered the decorative square to the front of the glitter card which was then added to the front of the card to make the base for the embellishments.

I die cut two decorative hearts from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – December 2022 Sweetheart Envelope and Notecard – one from white cardstock and one from gold glitter cardstock. I added the white heart over the gold heart with the gold heart slightly offset to show some glitter. This was then added to a white shadow heart and added to the centre of the decorative square using foam tape.

I die cut three ‘Adoring You’ sentiments using the sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Adoring Fleurette Card Builder Dies – two from white cardstock and one from gold glitter cardstock. I stacked the three dies together with the gold die slightly offset on top and this was adhered on an angle on the bottom right of the card.

I stamped the ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’ sentiment on white cardstock using Wow embossing ink and heat embossed it with fine line gold embossing powder. I die cut the sentiment out using the tag die from the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Adornments Dies and shaped it slightly before adhering the tag to the front of the heart using glue and foam tape slightly on an angle.

I added the pink bow to the top of the tag and then added the flowers and some hearts from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – January 2021 Pop Up 3D Vignette Valentines Mailbox made from gold and pink cardstock. I then added a butterfly to the bottom right of the card.

To finish I added some pink jewels to the tag and the card front as shown.

Amazing Paper Grace Happy Valentine’s Day

Kia ora Koutou

Making Valentine’s Day cards are so simple with Amazing Paper Grace dies and today I have a Valentine’s Day card that was quick and easy to make. For my card I have used the Amazing Paper Grace December 2020 Die of the Month – Sweetheart Envelope and Notecard Dies which has all you need to make timeless and classic Valentine’s Day card your sweetheart will cherish forever. To complete this card I have added a sweet little heart from the Amazing Paper Grace Primrose Facade dies and the sentiment from the Merry Everything Dies. This card took no time to put together and looks fabulous.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my project today I have made a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ top folding card out of white cardstock. I layered some gold and white cardstock to create the base for the decorative dies.

To create the decorative base for my embellishments I used the Amazing Paper Grace December 2022 Die of the Month – Sweetheart Envelope and Note Card dies. To start I die cut the outer scallop edged envelope die out of gold cardstock and trimmed the end to fit the card front before adhering to the front of the card. I then die cut the inner notecard die out of white cardstock using the decorative die insert at the shaped end. This was trimmed to fit inside the gold outer die and adhered to the front as shown.

I die cut the decorative rectangle and the shadow out of white cardstock and added the decorative die to the shadow die and then adhered this to the bottom half of the decorative dies.

I die cut a small decorative heart out of white cardstock using the small heart dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Primrose Facade die. I then die cut the shadow heart out of gold cardstock and adhered the decorative die to the shadow and then adhered the heart to the top of the white decorative base.

I die cut three sets of flowers out of ivory pearl cardstock and assembled them. These were glued to the centre of the decorative dies and added the leaves that have been die cut out of green cardstock.

I die cut three sets of sentiments from the Amazing Paper Grace Merry Everything dies – two sets out of white cardstock and one set out of gold glitter cardstock. I stacked these together with the gold glitter sentiments on top and then adhered these over the decorative panel at the bottom half of the card.

To complete the card I have added gold pearls to the flower centres, the gold heart and around the sentiments.

Have a Lovely Day With Amazing Paper Grace

Kia ora Koutou

I love decorative shaped cards and today my card today is inspired by a video on YouTube showing how to make a decorative shaped card the easy way. This technique is so easy and can be used for many decorative dies that have a shadow die as well as a decorative frame. I have taken the technique a little further and created a ‘window’ card that highlights the gorgeous tag and sentiment in the inside back of the card. I have used the Amazing Paper Grace Cascading Grace die to created the shaped decorative card base and decorated with handcrafted daisies made using the Amazing Paper Grace Delightful Daisy Garden Shutters Dies and the Amazing Paper Grace Layered Daisies Dies. I have also used ink blending to create more shape and dimension to the flowers and leaves for a more realistic look. I love these layered dies – they are so quick and easy to colour and assemble and are not too dimensional and overpowering for the base card. The flowers work well with the ornate and embossed background dies really well.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

To make my card I have cut a piece of white cardstock 10″ x 7″ and folded it in half. I then die cut a shaped card using the shadow die from the Amazing Paper Grace Cascading Grace Dies by placing it over the folded edge. I then die cut a decorative window front out of the front of the card using the decorative frame die and the inside edge die. I die cut and embossed another decorative frame using all three dies and then adhered it to the front of the card.

For the inside of the card I die cut a decorative die using just the shadow die and the decorative die and adhered it to the inside back of the card. I then got the left over inside panel of the front decorative die and using the edge die as a stencil blended ight green and pink inks before adding it to the centre of the card. I stamped the sentiment to a scrap piece of white cardstock out of Tuxedo Black ink and die cut it out with the large tag. I die cut another plain large tag, stacked them together with the sentiment on top and then added them to the middle of the coloured panel.

I die cut the daisy dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Delightful Daisies Garden Shutter dies and the small daisy dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Layered Daisy Dies out of white cardstock. I coloured the flowers with Lemon Whip, Cherry Blossom, Peony and Begonia inks and the stems and calyx with Sage and Eucalyptus inks. These were shaped and assembled before adding to the bottom right and top left of the card as shown. I have used foam squares on some leaves and flowers for extra dimension.

To finish I added Wink of Stella to the flowers and white pearls to the decorative die.

Amazing Paper Grace Sympathy Card

Kia ora Koutou

I would like to take the time to wish everyone a healthy, safe and prosperous Happy New Year with lots of time for crafting therapy.

Today it is New Years Day in New Zealand and I have a gorgeous lilac and silver card to share with you today. I really love how Becca Feeken and former Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team Member Rajni Chawla mix and match layering dies and also snip dies to create a totally different look. Here I have used three different die sets – Fluted Classics Rectangles Dies, Postage Edge Rectangles Dies and Scalloped Symphony Notecard Dies to create a very elegant base for the snipped Marvelous Medallion dies. The flowers are from the Marvelous Medallion dies and off course I had to add a sweet little butterfly. The sentiment is from Beccy’s Place Wren stamp set. (It wasn’t until after I completed the card that I realised that perhaps the sympathy sentiment was not a great choice for the start of the year but it suited the card and it is always handy to have spare sympathy cards on hand – what do you think?).

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my project I have created a shaped card base using three large Postage Edge Rectangles Dies – two in white cardstock and one in silver. I adhered the two white rectangles together with the right sides out and then scored at 3/4″ along one of the short sides to create a hinge. This hinge was glued to the back of the silver rectangle. I then layered an ivory plain layer with the large rectangle from the Fluted Classics Rectangles Dies in lilac cardstock. I die cut the large scalloped edge slimline die from the Scalloped Symphony Notecard Dies out of silver cardstock. I cut this in half and trimmed about another inch of both sides before gluing the sides together to fit inside the lilac patterned rectangle. To finish the layers I added another plain layer of ivory card and the Fluted Classics Rectangles Dies in Lilac cardstock.

I die cut two medallions out – with the shadow from silver cardstock and the top decorative layer from Lilac cardstock. I then trimmed the outer edges and added them to the top and bottom of the inner rectangle as shown.

I die cut a small postage rectangle from the Postage Edge Rectangles Dies out of silver cardstock. I layered a plain layer of lilac cardstock on top. I stamped the sentiment from the Blue Wren stamp set from Beccy’s Place in Majestic Violet ink on ivory cardstock. I die cut this out using the smallest plain die from the Postage Edge Rectangles Dies and adhered it to the top of the lilac cardstock. This was then added to the front of the card to hide the edges of the medallion dies using foam tape.

I die cut the flowers using the soft flower shaping paper and coloured them in the centres with Grassy Knoll ink and the edges using Wisteria ink. I soaked these in water and then shaped them using a small ball stylus. For the larger flowers I have done two layers and for the smaller ones I have done a single layer. A small green wire pollen was inserted into the centres of the flowers.

I die cut the leaves from green cardstock and these were added to the top left of the sentiment.  I trimmed the wires from the flowers and then added the flowers over the leaves.

The butterfly from the Butterfly Bliss Garden Shutters Dies were made by using vellum coloured with Kitsch Flamingo and Shaded Lilac inks and then silver accents and a black body were added to complete the butterfly. The butterfly was then added to the bottom right of the sentiment.

To finish I added some silver pearls around the sentiment and to highlight the Marvelous Medallion dies.

I will have a full video tutorial on my YouTube channel shortly on how I have made this card and the flowers.

All Hearts Come Home for Christmas with Amazing Paper Grace

Meri Kirihimete

Wishing everyone a safe and happy Christmas Day filled with fun and laughter and the love of family and friends.

New Zealand is the first country in the world to celebrate Christmas Day and I am waking up to Christmas Day here while I know some people are still in Christmas Eve around the world. This is my final Christmas card for this year and it seems fitting that I have used this die set from Amazing Paper Grace – All Hearts Come Home. The sentiments are just lovely and I have only used the one die set and an embossing folder for this very elegant and pretty Christmas card. I have sort of CASEd a card from one I saw on Instagram but I have added some sparkling embossing to make it my own.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card I have made a side folding 5″ x 7″ base card out of white cardstock. I cut a piece of Glacier cardstock 4 3/4″ x 6 3/4″ and adhered it to the front of the card. I then cut a piece of vellum the same size and embossed it with the Amazing Paper Grace Holly Flourish Embossing Folder and added some glitter with WOW Embossing Ink for a little sparkle.

I die cut two frames from the Amazing Paper Grace All Hearts Come Home Dies out of Snowdrift cardstock and adhered them together before gluing them to the front of the sparkly embossed vellum. I die cut the house out of Snowdrift cardstock and adhered some gold mirror cardstock on the back which was trimmed to the house. This was added to the middle of the frame. Finally I die cut the banner sentiment out of gold and Snowdrift cardstock and adhered them together and added to the top of the vellum. I added glue to the back of the vellum behind the die cut shapes only and adhered this to the front of the blue card on the card base.

I die cut two sets of the ‘for christmas’ sentiments – one from gold and one from white cardstock. I adhered the gold card sentiment dies to the white sentiment dies and adhered the sentiments to the base of the frame as shown.

To finish the card I have added gold .pearls to the frame as shown

Amazing Paper Grace Peonies, Pussy Cats and Lace

Kia ora Koutou

Sometimes it is best with pretty papers just to let the background dies and beautiful papers tell the story when making a card. I have just purchased some beautiful papers from Mintay Papers and decided to create a shabby chic look with lacy background dies to highlight the stunning images from this collection. Rather than using actual lace the Amazing Paper Grace Tallulah Frill Layering Frame Dies did all the work for me to create the lacy shabby chic look which allowed the pretty images to show through. All I needed to finish this card was a sweet little sentiment and pearls and my card was done.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card I created a side opening 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2: base card out of white cardstock. I cut a piece of green cardstock the same size and added it to the front of the card. I then layered a busy floral background paper to the front.

I die cut two outer decorative frames from the Amazing Paper Grace Tallulah Frill Layering Frame Die out of white pearl cardstock and adhered them together for more depth and dimension. Before adding this to the card front I cut another piece of green cardstock 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ to fit just under the centre of the frame to add some contrast to the pattern paper and I then added it to the card front. I cut another piece of green cardstock the same size as the smaller layering die and added a small floral and cat image to the front of this. I die cut two inner decorative frames out of pearl cardstock and adhered them together before adding them to the pre-prepared floral panel and then added it to the centre of the larger frame.

I then added the ephemera to the card using some foam squares for extra dimension.

I stamped the ‘hello’ sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Seasonal Motif Sentiments Clear Stamp Set in English Ivy ink on white pearl cardstock. I die cut this out using the small tag die from the Amazing Paper Grace Cascading Grace Die set and adhered it to the base of the flowers at the bottom right of the card. I added a small white satin bow to the tag.

To finish I added pearls to the inner and outer decorative frames.
