One of my photos of the day. We finally got some rain today after having no rain since the 4th February. It was lovely going out in the rain and taking photographs.

Fragrant Hour Rose_0008.jpg
I just can’t resist taking photos of roses and this rose was really high and the late evening sun was just touching this rose to create lovely patterns of light and dark.

Shells on Petone Beach.jpg
Another still life from the beach. It was another warm and sunny day and the breeze from the harbour was very pleasant.

Seagull, Petone Beach_0009.jpg
Another seagull picture. This one was resting a leg. I like the bokeh affect of the waves in the background.

Seagull, Petone Beach_0007.jpg
Two days ago I went to Petone Beach to take photographs of the Queen Mary II in Wellington Harbour. I took the opportunity of trying out taking photos of different subjects to have a change from flower photos. Here are a few shots that I took.

I went out again later in the afternoon and took more photos and I was really pleased with this photo. I am very pleased with what I have achieved today. I hope I have another good day tomorrow.
Happy snapping
Bee on snapdragon flower.jpg
The last photo for the day. The bees have been really busy and I am happy with the results.
Have a good day and Happy Snapping.

Bee on snapdragon.jpg
Another favourite photo of mine. You can just see the bee peeping out of the snapdragon flower. I have had a good day with the camera today. Some days are better than other and it is worth waiting for them.

Hoverfly on Paris Daisy.jpg
Another one of my favourite photos from today’s photography session. It has been hard to decide which is the best one.

I have been informed that the insect is a hoverfly and not a bee. I think I need to brush up on my insects lol
