Merry Christmas Amazing Paper Grace

Kia ora Koutou

The final countdown is on for Christmas and today I have a Christmas card made using the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month June 2020 Snip It Grid and Calendar Dies to create an advent calendar with the 25th December highlighted. I have kept to traditional Christmas colours of red and gold and some beautiful Christmas papers and allowed the dies to look like an advent calendar.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

My base card is 6″ x 6″ and I have layered red and patterned paper on the base card. I also added some red satin ribbon across the top left and bottom right of the card.

I then added a layer of gold and red cardstock with black foam to create dimension. Following this I then layered some pattern paper with gold cardstock and added this to the top of the card with more black foam.

I die cut the calendar frame from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month June 2020 Snip It Grid and Calendar Dies out of red cardstock and adhered it to the pattern paper and then matted it to gold cardstock before adding it to the front of the card leaving space above and below for the sentiments and month with more black foam.

I die cut the numbers and the word ‘December’ from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month June 2020 Snip It Grid and Calendar Dies out of red cardstock and adhered the numbers inside the squares. I die cut another frame out of gold cardstock and snipped it to a single square which was added over the 25th square. I die cut the numbers 2 and 5 out of gold cardstock and then adhering them to the highlighted square.

To finish the calendar I added red squares to the empty squares and then some gold pearls to complete the bottom row.

I die cut the sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Happy Occasion Words Dies twice – one from red cardstock and one from gold cardstock. I adhered the red words over the gold words slightly offsetting the gold sentiments for a shadow and then adhered the sentiments to the card under the calendar frame. I repeated the same procedure for the word ‘December’ which was place above the calendar frame.

I added a red ribbon bow to the top left corner and added a poinsettia and foliage made using the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Poinsettias Dies to the bow. A gold pearl to the centre of the flower finished the card.

Amazing Papaer Grace Silent Night Shaker Card

Kia ora Koutou

Eek it s only 4 weeks to Christmas Day!! Today I have gone outside my comfort zone with this lovely shaker card made using the Amazing Paper Grace Silent might Make a Scene Dies. My inspiration for this card comes from a video I saw on Youtube. The creator used masked a lovely embossing folder to create a snow hill scene and used pink, green and ink colours for her card. I have used a purple, blue and green colour combination for a non-traditional card that is a lot of fun.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card I made a top folding 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base out of white cardstock.

I cut a piece of white card 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and blended the sky at the top with Shaded Lilac ink. The various size hills out die cut out of white cardstock using the two hill dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Silent might Make a Scene Dies. and were shaded with Tumbled Glass ink.

I used a snow stencil and Allene’s True Snow on the background and added glitter to the snow.

The houses were die cut out of lilac cardstock and shaded with Shaded Lilac ink. The trees are from both the Amazing Paper Grace Silent might Make a Scene Dies and the Amazing Paper Grace November Die of the Month 2018 Christmas Village Dies and were cut out of green cardstock and shaded with Mowed Lawn ink.

I used some lighter weight acetate to create th shaker element and added a mix of clear, iridescent, pink and teal sequins with some small silver stars to create the shaker element.

To complete the card I have added a silver Santa and his reindeer to the top of the card and the sentiment from a dark blue card lined with silver card.

Finally, I added some snow to the top of the acetate with Simply White Nuvo Crystal Drops ansd sprinkled them with glitter.

Honey Bee Stamps Buzzworthy Challenge Bells Will Be Ringing

Kia ora Koutou

Here is my second card for the Honey Bee Stamps Buzzworthy Challenge on Facebook. The challenge for this month is to use stripes and I have made another Christmas card that is so festive with the traditional colours of gold, reds and greens with a diagonal stripe in red sparkles

I have hot foiled the Pink Fresh Studio Diagonal Plaid Press Plate in red glitter foil for the striped background. I have also hot foiled plain cardstock with the same red glitter foil and the Aura foil and die cut the bells, the ribbon and the berries from this coloured card. The bells really sparkle and all the gold is so shiny and the decorative elements harmonise well together. The matted layer of gold behind the striped layer is also hot foiled using the Aura foil and was left after die cutting the gold frame out.

I have used the Honey Bee Stamps Pierced Fancy Flakes A2 Cover Plate on white cardstock and die cut it out with the medium plain edge die from the Pink Fresh Studio Notched Corner dies. For the frame I have hot foiled the Pink Fresh Studio Notched Corner dies with Aura foil and then die cut a frame with the coordinating dies. This was added to the pierced white base with foam tape for dimension.

Once the bells and the bow had been assembled I added them to the top left corner of the frame using foam tape. I then added foliage cut from various green and brown cardstocks plus the red berries using the Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Winter Greenery die set over the top of the bells as shown.

The bird has come from the Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Spring Birds and is nestled among the greenery.

The sentiment is from the Pink Fresh Studio Foiled Sentiments 4 Holiday Pack and has been added to the card using foam tape.

To make the red sparkles I used a red Copic marker to colour clear sparkles which were then added to the card around the sentiment and on the bow for extra sparkle.

It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year with Amazing Paper Grace

Kia ora Koutou

Today I have my last Christmas card for Christmas in July and I have used the Amazing Paper Grace May 2019 Die of the Month – Nostalgic Serenade to create a background for the gorgeous bird and snowman and some snowy poinsettias. The very sweet embellishments take the background layering dies to a new dimension for a classic, timeless and elegant card that will delight the recipient for many years to come. And the copperplate script hot foiled sentiment adds the perfect finish to this card.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my project I have created a top folding 5″ x 7″ base card out of white cardstock. I then layered gold and ivory pearl card to the front. I then die cut the outer frame from the Amazing Paper Grace May 2019 Die of the Month – Nostalgic Serenade out of gold cardstock and adhered it to the front of the card with foam strips. I die cut the inner label from the same die set out of gold cardstock and added it to the centre of the frame using thicker foam tap. I hot foiled the sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Holiday Glimmer Sentiments using gold foil on ivory pearl card before die cutting with the inner plain edge die and added this to the gold label with foam tape.

I die cut two flourishes out of gold cardstock from the Amazing Paper Grace Sugarplum Tweets Dies and adhered one to the top right of the frame and one to the bottom left of the frame. I die cut the bird out of white and gold cardstocks, assembled it before adding it to the top right of the frame over the flourish with foam tape.

I die cut the snowman out of white, blue, orange cardstock using dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Let It Snowman A2 Card Front Dies and assembled it before gluing to some gold cardstock. I cut the snowman out leaving the gold behind the snowman and then added it to the left of the frame over the flourish with foam tape

I die cut the foliage from the Amazing Paper Grace November 2020 Die of the Month – Pop Up 3D Poinsettia Sleigh out of green cardstock and added the leaves around the bird and snowman.

I die cut the poinsettia flowers from the Amazing Paper Grace November 2020 Die of the Month – Pop Up 3D Poinsettia Sleigh out of white cardstock. I coloured the flowers with green and blue inks before assembling with two petals per flower of the same size. I added snow to the flowers using TCW Opalescent Stardust Butter and then when dry added them around the bird and snowman.

To complete the card I added some gold pearls to the centre of the snowman belly, the poinsettias and around the sentiment.

Amazing Paper Grace All Hearts Come Home for Christmas

Kia ora Koutou

I have another Christmas in July card for you today featuring the fabulous Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – Die of the Month July 2021 Home Sweet Home along with some Christmas themed die sets from the Amazing Paper Grace Christmas Flourishes Collection as well as a dies from other collections and even including from a Halloween die set – products listed below the photos. I wanted to show how to mix and match different dies to create a single card to show how versatile Amazing Paper Grace dies are and how they can all fit together in many different themes.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

To make my card I have created a to folder 5″ x 7″ card base out of white cardstock. I then embossed a piece of white cardstock 4 3/4″ x 6 3/4″ using the Amazing Paper Grace Holly Flourish Embossing Folder and added it on the front of the card. I then die cut a decorative frame out of blue cardstock using the Amazing Paper Grace Eyelet Lace Frame and backed it with a gold frame before adding it to the front of the card.

I die cut the house out of white, yellow, gold and blue cardstock using the dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month July 2021 – Home Sweet Home Dies and assembled it according to the instructions. Before adding the house to the front of the card I die cut two trees from the Amazing Paper Grace Spooky Cottage dies out of brown cardstock, trimmed the trees and added a tree and extra branch on the right side of the card and a small branch on the top left of the frame. I then added the house to the front of the card with some foam for extra height in the centre of the card.

I die cut the small birdies from the Amazing Paper Grace Holly Frame Gala Dies out of white and gold cardstock. I trimmed each bird and mixed the gold and white sections. Two birds were added to the top of the tree branches on the right side of the card and one bird to the top left of the card using a small foam square.

I die cut the snowman out of white, blue, orange cardstock using dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Let It Snowman A2 Card Front Dies and assembled it before gluing to some gold cardstock. I cut the snowman out leaving the gold behind the snowman and then added it to the left of the house with foam tape.

I die cut the sentiment banner from the Amazing Paper Grace All Hearts Come Home A2 Card Front Dies from white cardstock and backed it with gold cardstock before adding to the top of the house using multiple layers of foam tape to make it flat. I die cut three sentiment words from the same die set – two from white and one from gold cardstock. I stacked the sentiments together with the gold sentiment on top and added it to the frame under the house.

I die cut the small holly leaves and berries from green and red cardstocks using the small dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Sugarplum Tweets Dies and adhered them to the top of the decorative eaves and either side of the sentiment on the frame.

I die cut snowflakes out of white glitter paper using the snowflake dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Let It Snowman A2 Card Front Dies and added them around the house and on the frame.

To finish I added iridescent gems to the snowman and in the centres of the snowflakes for some sparkle.

Amazing Paper Grace Decorative Gatefold Card

Kia ora Koutou

Here is my second card for my Christmas in July series. This time I have created a gatefold card using the Amazing Paper Grace Delicate Tendril Border Dies to create a stunning, elegant and timeless Christmas card to keep on the mantle all year round. I love how Becca has added two separate edge dies on her border dies and this makes it so much easier to create gatefold cards. Here I have created a decorative gatefold card using the Delicate Tendril Border die, decorated it inside with the Amazing Paper Grace Richelieu Square dies and accented it with the beautiful flourish from the Delicate Tendril Border Dies set. I made a belly band to keep the card together and used the Amazing Paper Grace Splendid Trilliant Dies to decorate the band and although this die set is from another of Becca’s collections it worked really well here as it is a similar motif. The band was decorated with flowers and Christmas accents from the Amazing Paper Grace Holiday Label Motif dies.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

Front of Card

For my project I cut a piece of white cardstock 5″ x 10″, scored at 2 1/5″ and 7 1/2″ along the long side before folding the card into a gatefold card measuring 5″ x 5″. I die cut each end of the card using the outer edge die and the inner decorative dies from the Paper Grace Delicate Tendril Border Dies to make the decorative sides. I die cut and embossed two border motifs using both edge dies and the inner decorative die out of white cardstock and adhered these to the sides. I then die cut four decorative flourishes – two from gold cardstock and two from white cardstock. I adhered the white dies behind the gold dies and then added the flourishes to each side by the folds as shown.

Inside Back of Card

For the inside cut a piece of white cardstock 4 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ and adhered it to the inside back of the card. I die cut a decorative frame out of white cardstock using the Amazing Paper Grace Richelieu Square dies and then added this to the inside back. I die cut two decorative square frames from the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Twist Square dies out of white cardstock and a plain frame out of gold cardstock. I stacked the decorative frames together and added the gold frame behind before adding this to the inside back over the decorative square. I die cut the small shadow circle out of gold cardstock and the decorative circle from white cardstock. I added the decorative circle over the gold circle and then added it to the centre of the square decorative dies. I die cut four flourishes from the Paper Grace Delicate Tendril Border Dies, trimmed them to the central motif and added them around the circle dies. I die cut four sentiments from the Amazing Paper Grace Make a Scene dies – three from white cardstock and one from gold cardstock. I stacked the dies together with the gold die on top and then added the die inside the frame as shown.

To complete the card I added pearls to the decorative dies on the front and inside back of the cards.

Belly Band.

I cut a piece of white cardstock 1″ x 12″ and scored at 3 3/8″ and 8 5/8″ and fold to create the band. I then cut a piece of gold metallic card 3/4″ x 11″ and scored along each long side 1/8″ before adding to the white band. I then glued the band together making sure the band was loose enough to go over the pearls on the card.

I die cut and embossed the motif from the Amazing Paper Grace Splendid Trilliant dies out of white cardstock and adhered it to the front of the band. I die cut two flourishes from the Paper Grace Delicate Tendril Border Dies, trimmed them to the central motif added them to the top and bottom of the central rectangle of the motif. I have handcrafted the green and pink poinsettia out of flower shaping paper and green cardstock using the poinsettia dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Poinsettias and added it to the centre of the motif. I added some gold flourishes that I had trimmed along with holly and ivy from the Amazing Paper Grace Holiday Label Motifs Dies set and the branches from the November 2020 Die of the Month – Pop Up 3D Vignette Poinsettia Sleigh.

To finish the belly band I added a gold pearl to the centre of the poinsettia and pearls to the decorative die.

Wishing You a Wonderful Kiwi Christmas

Kia ora Koutou

I have another Kiwi Christmas card to share with you today that features a gorgeous Tui using a stamp from Montarga Rubber Stamps. The Tui looks black but the colours when up close are purple/blue, green and bronze iridescent colours but as I am still learning about Copic markers I have stuck to blues and purple colours. You can find more on the Tui here.

I have used a range of Heartfelt Creations, Amazing Paper Grace and Honey Bee Stamps products to make this card and I was very happy with the result. I love how the tui on the flax branch just organically rises up from the poinsettia and Christmas foliage. I have die cut the leaf image from the Amazing Paper Grace Grand Cinch and Go Flowers in silver to represent the silver fern and make it uniquely New Zealand.

Scroll past the photos to get to the full list of products I have used.

Amazing Paper Grace Let It Snowman

Kia ora Koutou

Today I am sharing a card that I have created for a challenge in a Facebook group I belong to and the challenge is to create a card featuring a snow globe from any company’s designs. Of course I had to go to Amazing Paper Grace and the Let It Snowman dies from the Christmas Flourishes Collection by Becca Feeken. The colour combination on this card has been inspired by a card I saw on Instagram. I don’t normally put gold accents with soft blue and white but this combination really does work. This die set is an A2 set by I have made this A5 to really show up the embossed background I have created.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

To make my card I have created a side opening 5″ x 7″ card from white cardstock. I have added a piece of 5″ x 7″ Snowdrift card to the front of the card to coordinate with my die cuts. I then cut a piece of soft blue cardstock 4 7/8″ x 6 7/8″ and added it to the front. I cut a piece of vellum the same size and embossed it with the Holly Flourish Embossing Folder. Before adding the vellum to the front of the card I die cut three frames from the Amazing Paper Grace Let it Snowman A2 Card Front Dies out of Snowdrift cardstock and some snow flakes from some white glitter paper I had in my stash. I stacked the three frames together and added them to the embossed vellum. I added some snowflakes above the frame. I then added some glue behind the snowflakes and frame and added the vellum to the front of the card.

I die cut the main body of the snowman out of Snowdrift cardstock and then added gold to the back of the body and trimmed it to fit. I hot foiled Opal foil to some blue cardstock and then die cut the hat and some snowflakes out of the lovely shiny blue card. The accents were die cut from gold cardstock and the nose from orange cardstock. I assembled the snowman and added it inside the frame.

I die cut the sentiment from Snowdrift and gold cardstocks, assembled them and added them to the base of the frame.

I added the blue snowflakes to the frame and more white glitter snowflakes to the centre of the frame around the snowman as shown.

To finish I added gold pearls to the frame, snowflakes and the snowman.

A Kiwi Holiday Card

Kia ora Koutou

Today I have another non-traditional New Zealand themed Christmas card featuring a Tui to share with you. The Tui is a bird native to New Zealand and it is very distinctive with very dark almost black feathers and a tuft of white features on it’s chin. We have a lot of Tuis where I live and one time I counted about 40 to 50 birds in a kowhai tree having a feeding frenzy but they can be noisy and at times drive me nuts!! You can find more information about the Tui here.

For my card I have combined Heartfelt Creations decorative dies and papers with Spellbinders, Honey Bee Stamps and Amazing Paper Grace dies to created this card. The full list of products I used is listed after the photos. I was very happy with how this card turned out as the colours worked perfectly together to coordinate with the purple and blue bird. I have also used Wink of Stella on the bird to add some sparkle and replicate the iridescent blue/purple feathers.

Amazing Paper Grace Down Under Christmas Card

Kia ora Koutou

I live in New Zealand where we have a warm Christmas with picnics at the beach or barbecues at home on Christmas days. I have done many many snow and ‘traditional’ Christmas cards over the years and while I have enjoyed making those cards it is nice to do a card that is more in keeping with our seasons here and to send to friends and family overseas. For my card today I have used just two Amazing Paper Grace dies – the Amazing Paper Grace Callista Rectangle Shadowbox Die and the Silent Night Make a Scene Die to create a stunning down under themed card using traditional Christmas colours.

There is a company here in New Zealand that does NZ Christmas themed (and other NZ themed stamps) and I finally made the plunge to get some of these stamps. I will have some more NZ themed Christmas cards coming in the next few weeks but I am starting with this card featuring poinsettias and a Santa preparing lunch on the barbecue.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

To make my card I have created a top folding 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card out of white cardstock. I cut a piece of gold cardstock 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and added it to the front of the card. I then cut a piece of green cardstock 4 1/8″ x 4 3/8″ and adhered it over the gold card. I then die cut the frame from the Amazing Paper Grace Callista Rectangle Shadowbox die out of gold cardstock and adhered it to the front of the green paper. I cut a piece light green paper 2 3/4″ x 4″ and adhered it to the centre of the frame.

I stamped the Santa and poinsettia images in Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol friendly paper and coloured them in with Copic markers. I fussy cut the poinsettias out and added one to the bottom left and one to the top right of he card. I trimmed the Santa image to fit inside the inner decorative frame from the Amazing Paper Grace Callista Rectangle Shadowbox Frame die and then adhered this to the front of the frame with foam tape.

To finish I die cut two sentiments from the Amazing Paper Grace Silent Night Make a Scene dies, stacked them together and adhered it to the base of the Santa as shown.
