Pink Fresh Studio Challenge Card

Kia ora Koutou

I have another card for you today for the Pink Fresh Studio September Challenge 2024. This month challenge is creating using leaves and wreaths and the colour combination is Raspberry Bliss, Paradise, Mulberry Blush, Mimosa, & Citron.

My second card for this challenge is quite different from the first card. I have used the Pink Fresh Studio Vines and Roses Stamp, Stencil and Dies focusing more on the leaves and small single florals to create a wreath. I have used the same inks as last time but the colours turned out quite different – especially on the leaves where I have only used the Citron and Paradise inks very lightly for a two tone effect which is lovely and fresh.

My card is a top folding 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card made from white cardstock. I have matted some silver cardstock with a smaller card that I have hot foiled using the Pink Fresh Studio Plaid Press Plate in Matte Silver and Prism foil.

The foliage and flowers from the Pink Fresh Studio Vines and Roses Stamp, Stencil and Dies were stamped with Detail Black ink and then coloured with the challenge inks using the coordinating stencils before be die cut with the coordinating dies.

I have die cut a large and small circle frame using the Pink Fresh Studio Pink Fresh Studio Fancy Circles Dies to create the base for the wreath. I added the large frame on the card and then added some leaves around the frame to create the base of the wreath. I then added the small frame over the top with some foam strips before adding the floral sprays around the circle.

I hot foiled the sentiment from the Pink Fresh Studio Wonderful Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and Die in Prism foil on Hammermill cardstock. I also die cut another plain die and stacked it with the foiled sentiment on top. This was added to the middle of the wreath with foam strips.

To finish the card I added some silver pearls around the sentiment and wreath.

Basket With Love Amazing Paper Grace

Kia ora Koutou

A few weeks back I did a 3D pop up vignette using the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month January 2020 Pop Up 3D Vignette Bouquet and today I have a card showing you how to use the same dies on a card front. I also wanted to show how easy it is to mix and match old and new Amazing Paper Grace by combining the newer Amazing Paper Grace Romantic Romantic Chargeour with the older Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month January 2020 Pop Up 3D Vignette Bouquet. The two dies fitted together so well that they could have been part of the same set. For my card this time I have gone for blush pink, rose gold and creams with lots of glitter for a very sophisticated and elegant card that could be used for so many different occasions. (I wish you could see how pretty this card is and how it just sparkles – my husband was really taken with it!) Once I had all the flowers made this card came together very quickly.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my project I have made a top folding 5″ x 7″ card out of white cardstock. I have layered blush pink card and rose gold pearl paper on the front of the card. To add more interest I have scored two lines on each side on the pearl rose gold paper.

I have die cut the large shadow die from the Amazing Paper Grace Romantic Romantic Chargeour out of pearl cream paper and adhered it to the front of the card. I then die cut the inner decorative dies out of the Amazing Paper Grace Romantic Romantic Chargeour in pearl ivory paper and adhered it to the over the shadow base. I added the inner plain die on top of the decorative frame. I die cut the outer decorative frame out of rose gold glitter paper and adhered it to the top of the shadow with foam strips.

I die cut the bouquet from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month January 2020 Pop Up 3D Vignette Bouquet Etched dies out of rose gold glitter card and then die cut the small basket area out of rose gold pearl paper and embossed it before adding it behind the ‘basket’. I added the ‘stems’ made from blush pink to the basket and then adhered the bouquet to the front of the card using foam strips in the centre of the frame to allow the bouquet to sit level.

I used a mix of rose gold pearl paper and rose gold glitter card to make lots of flowers and added them to the top of the basket using various levels of foam squares for more dimension.

I stamped the sentiment from Beccy’s Place Magnolia stamps in WOW embossing ink on rose gold pearl paper and heat embossed it with rose gold embossing powder. I then die cut the sentiment out using the tag die that comes with the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month January 2020 Pop Up 3D Vignette Bouquet Etched dies and adhered it to the basket as shown. I added a small heart from the same die set using the rose gold pearl paper and card and added it to the label as shown.

To finish the card I added a pink and gold silk ribbon bow to the top of the tag and added a pearl to the bow as well as on the heart, on the top of the basket and in the centre of the flowers.

Wishing You the Best Pink Fresh Studio

Kia ora Koutou

I had so much fun using the Pink Fresh Studio Diagonal Plaid Press Plate making different backgrounds that coordinate with the flowers that I have made. My card today uses the Summer Shower and Eucalyptus inks that I used to colour the leaves in the Pink Fresh Studio Delighted For You Stamp for the diagonal plaid and it makes the whole card look cohesive and balanced. I also ink blended the lighter yellow and blue tones of these colours for the background inside the frame which helps to make the flowers pop more from the background. I also added an extra layer behind the flowers to give the flowers more stability and dimension and did the same for the sentiment. To finish my card I added some Pink Fresh Studio Glacier gems for some sparkle around the sentiment.

Amazing Paper Grace Graceful Concertina Card

Kia ora Koutou

Many years ago when I started paper crafting I remember making these beautiful screen cards by folding card stock and using punches to create the legs and decorate the tops. Becca Feeken has taken this concept to the next level with the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month July 2019 – Graceful Concertina. Making delicate and intricate concertina cards is now so quick and easy and it took me longer to decide on the decorations of the card. This card reminded me of Victorian style screens that could be found in the boudoir in a stately house, and I selected the Mintay Peony Garden papers and ephemera to further emphasize the vintage feel.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

I have made the concertina base card using the instructions from Becca Feeken here, however, I did not use the gold accents and instead keeping to a very simple design with cream cardstock. I have decorated the card with papers from Mintay Peony Garden collection and added extra die cuts to create my scenes. I kept the centre panel plain to add the sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace With Love Regalia Card Builder Dies on the front and to have a space for the greeting on the back.

To finish I added some pearls to the decorative panels.

Amazing Paper Grace Lacework Finery Slip-In Congrats Card

Kia Ora Koutou

I loved the Amazing Paper Grace dies by Becca Feeken since I first discovered them several years ago for their timeless, romantic and classic look which will never date. Today I have made a card using one of Becca’s earlier designs for the Die of the Month series – Lacework Finery Slip In Card. Here is a video on how Becca has made a card using the ‘slip-in’ feature of the dies. I have still used the ‘slip-in’ feature but in a different way. And I love that there are some flower dies in this set so I could create beautiful flowers for the card. This is such a pretty and feminine card that would be great for special birthdays, weddings or any celebration.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card I have made a 5″ x 7″ card base out of pink Centura Pearl cardstock. I used the outside die and the inner ‘slip’ decorative die and the two corner dies to die cut the card front. I then cut a piece of ivory cardstock 4 3/4″ x 6 3/4″ and a piece of pink pattern paper 4 5/8″ x 6 5/8″ and adhered it to the front of the ivory cardstock before slipping in inside the decorative frame. I then die cut another single decorative panel and added it to the the front of the card crossing over the other decorative panel. To hide the join I cut a strip of 1″ wide pink cardstock and adhered a strip of 5/7″ ivory cardstock and a strand of ribbon which was then added over the centre of the dies and the edges were folded over the sides of the card. I then added this front panel to the base card.

I die cut a shadow die from the Amazing Paper Grace Candlewick Oval dies out of ivory cardstock and a decorative frame out of pink cardstock and adhered them together. This was then added over the centre of the dies with foam tape.

I die cut three ‘Congrats’ sentiments from the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Infinity dies out of pink cardstock, stacked them together and added it to the centre of the oval as shown.

I die cut leaves from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch & Go Flowers III out of light green cardstock and adhered them to the right of the oval and over the ribbon on the left side.

I die cut the flowers from the Lacework Finery Slip-In die set out of flower shaping cardstock. The petals were coloured with pink and yellow inks and then shaped before assembling with two petals of each size. I then added pearls to the centres of the flowers and added them over the leaves on the right side and the leaves and bow on the left side.

To finish the card I added pearls to the ovals in the centre of the card and to the decorative dies and edges of the card front as shown.

Sending Love with Altenew Antique Roses

Kia ora Koutou

I have been going through my stash and having some fun with older products. I thought I would have a play with the Altenew Antique Roses layering stamps and I must admit it took some time to get back to using layering stamps after using stencils and colouring medium to colour my images. I also used different colours to what I normally use such as the purples and greys and I was happy with the outcome. I have used a mix of Pink Fresh Studio and Altenew inks to colour the roses and leaves and layered the roses using foam tape for some dimension. I used my new Altenew- Elegance Tufted Elegance 3D  Embossing Folder as a base for the flowers and layered coordinating grey and purple cardstocks that matched the inks that I used in the purple roses and grey leaves.

Wishing You All the Best

Kia ora Koutou

Today I am sharing a second card that I created for the for the Pink Fresh Studio February 2024 Challenge which was to use the following Pink Fresh Studio inks Sparkling Rose, Sunkissed, Spruce Tips, and Paradise and gold or have some hearts in your project. This colour combination is just so beautiful and I will be using it again.

For my project I have created a top folding A2 sized card. I cut another piece of white card slightly smaller and lightly stenciled the background using Turquoise ink. This was then adhered to the card front.

I then die cut circles out and added them to the front of the stenciled image – I used two outer and one inner circle to create some dimension. I ink blended some Turquoise ink to one of the inner circles and then added it to the centre of the frame.

I stamped the Magnolias stamp using WOW embossing ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I then coloured the flowers and leaves using the challenge inks – Sunkissed, Sparkling Rose, Paradise and Spruce Tips. The images were die cut and layered around the circle as shown.

For the sentiment I hot foiled the sentiment in Matte Gold Foil and die cut it with the coordinating die. I die cut another two plain dies and stacked these together and adhered the sentiment to the right of the flowers using some foam tape.

I hot foiled the small butterflies with Matte Gold foil and then coloured the butterflies with the coordinating stencil using Sunkissed and Sparkling Rose inks. I then die cut the butterflies and added this butterfly to the circle above the sentiment.

To finish my card I added some gold pearls around the flowers to meet the challenge brief.

CAS Poppy Card

Kia ora Koutou

I have been slowly working on my Copic colouring over the past year and have been gradually building up my markers stock at the same time. I have been taking classes at Kit and Clowder and learning about colour combinations and also creating depth and texture with blending colours. I feel that I have finally clicking with the colouring and feel more confident in making cards and wall art with the finished images. Here I have a free image from Altenew that I have coloured with Copic makers and made a card that I can safely give to someone. All I needed to do was trim the image down and mat with black and pink cardstock for a very pretty and striking card. I also added some clear Wink of Stella to the flower and leaves.

Have a Lovely Day With Amazing Paper Grace

Kia ora Koutou

I love decorative shaped cards and today my card today is inspired by a video on YouTube showing how to make a decorative shaped card the easy way. This technique is so easy and can be used for many decorative dies that have a shadow die as well as a decorative frame. I have taken the technique a little further and created a ‘window’ card that highlights the gorgeous tag and sentiment in the inside back of the card. I have used the Amazing Paper Grace Cascading Grace die to created the shaped decorative card base and decorated with handcrafted daisies made using the Amazing Paper Grace Delightful Daisy Garden Shutters Dies and the Amazing Paper Grace Layered Daisies Dies. I have also used ink blending to create more shape and dimension to the flowers and leaves for a more realistic look. I love these layered dies – they are so quick and easy to colour and assemble and are not too dimensional and overpowering for the base card. The flowers work well with the ornate and embossed background dies really well.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

To make my card I have cut a piece of white cardstock 10″ x 7″ and folded it in half. I then die cut a shaped card using the shadow die from the Amazing Paper Grace Cascading Grace Dies by placing it over the folded edge. I then die cut a decorative window front out of the front of the card using the decorative frame die and the inside edge die. I die cut and embossed another decorative frame using all three dies and then adhered it to the front of the card.

For the inside of the card I die cut a decorative die using just the shadow die and the decorative die and adhered it to the inside back of the card. I then got the left over inside panel of the front decorative die and using the edge die as a stencil blended ight green and pink inks before adding it to the centre of the card. I stamped the sentiment to a scrap piece of white cardstock out of Tuxedo Black ink and die cut it out with the large tag. I die cut another plain large tag, stacked them together with the sentiment on top and then added them to the middle of the coloured panel.

I die cut the daisy dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Delightful Daisies Garden Shutter dies and the small daisy dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Layered Daisy Dies out of white cardstock. I coloured the flowers with Lemon Whip, Cherry Blossom, Peony and Begonia inks and the stems and calyx with Sage and Eucalyptus inks. These were shaped and assembled before adding to the bottom right and top left of the card as shown. I have used foam squares on some leaves and flowers for extra dimension.

To finish I added Wink of Stella to the flowers and white pearls to the decorative die.
