Pink Fresh Studio Challenge Thanks For Everything Roses and Butterflies.

Kia ora Koutou

Here is my final submission for the Pink Fresh Studio November 2024 which is about ‘Thank You’ and the ink shades that are the best matches for the colors in the challenge are: Waterfall, Begonia, Mimosa, Citron & Storm.

This card is full of lots shine and sparkle with glitter, glitter card and shiny reverse hot foiled butterflies. For the sparkle I have die cut the background die from the Pink Fresh Studio Stained Glass from Pink Fresh Studio Ivory Glitter cardstock. I then die cut the frame from the Pink Fresh Studio Fancy Rectangle Frame out of gold cardstock.

I stamped and heat embossed the roses from the Pink Fresh Studio Garden Roses Stamp with fine gold embossing powder. The roses were coloured with the challenge inks before the image was die cut with the coordinating die. I added the roses over the gold frame with the bottom left of the flowers under the frame to give the feeling that the flowers were growing through the frame. The frame with the flowers were then added to the front od the card with foam strips and tape.

I added the hot foiled sentiment to the front over the flowers using scrap card for more dimension.

The butterflies were reverse foiled using the foil left over from the previous butterflies that I had foiled and once die cut I added two butterflies around the sentiment with foam squares.

To complete the card I sprinkled some glitter to the flowers and gold dust gems around the flowers and frame.

Amazing Papaer Grace Silent Night Shaker Card

Kia ora Koutou

Eek it s only 4 weeks to Christmas Day!! Today I have gone outside my comfort zone with this lovely shaker card made using the Amazing Paper Grace Silent might Make a Scene Dies. My inspiration for this card comes from a video I saw on Youtube. The creator used masked a lovely embossing folder to create a snow hill scene and used pink, green and ink colours for her card. I have used a purple, blue and green colour combination for a non-traditional card that is a lot of fun.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card I made a top folding 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base out of white cardstock.

I cut a piece of white card 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and blended the sky at the top with Shaded Lilac ink. The various size hills out die cut out of white cardstock using the two hill dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Silent might Make a Scene Dies. and were shaded with Tumbled Glass ink.

I used a snow stencil and Allene’s True Snow on the background and added glitter to the snow.

The houses were die cut out of lilac cardstock and shaded with Shaded Lilac ink. The trees are from both the Amazing Paper Grace Silent might Make a Scene Dies and the Amazing Paper Grace November Die of the Month 2018 Christmas Village Dies and were cut out of green cardstock and shaded with Mowed Lawn ink.

I used some lighter weight acetate to create th shaker element and added a mix of clear, iridescent, pink and teal sequins with some small silver stars to create the shaker element.

To complete the card I have added a silver Santa and his reindeer to the top of the card and the sentiment from a dark blue card lined with silver card.

Finally, I added some snow to the top of the acetate with Simply White Nuvo Crystal Drops ansd sprinkled them with glitter.

Pink Fresh Studio Challenge Thank You Card

Kia ora Koutou

Here is my second card for the Pink Fresh Studio November 2024 which is about ‘Thank You’ and the ink shades that are the best matches for the colors in the challenge are: Waterfall, Begonia, Mimosa, Citron & Storm.

I love using layering frame dies and creating dimension with foam tape to highlight pretty flowers and butterflies. For my second challenge card I have hot foiled the backgound using the Pink Freash Studio Stained Glass Hot Foil Plate and stenciled the panel using the challenge inks to create a rainbow effect. I then added a pretty frame using the large dies from the Pink Fresh Studio Dotted Fancy Frames with foam strips. I die cut some vellum using the medium dotted frame and added it to the centre of the frame and I then added a small frame to the centre with foam tape, but having it on a different orientation for the foiled sentiment from the Pink Fresh Studio Perfect Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and Coordinating Die set.

I hot foiled the flowers from the Pink Fresh Studio Peony Fantasy Hot Foil Plate and coloured them with the challenge inks before die cutting them out with the coordinating die. I also reversed foiled the flowers as well and added the coloured flowers and some foiled floral accents around the label and sentiment.

I added a hot foiled butterfly that had been coloured with the challenge flowers and then added a butterfly that had been foiled on vellum over top to tie in with the vellum on the card and also to add some more contrast to the flowers.

A light sprinkling of glitter and some gold pearls completed the card.

Amazing Paper Grace With Sympathy

Kia Ora Koutou

I really do enjoy making cards with intricate lacy dies and I think one of my favourite decorative dies is the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month June 2019 – Enchanting Battenburg Corners. The detail on these dies are incredible and I love all the texture you get when you emboss the dies. These dies are so pretty I find it hard to cover them up and my card today allows the corner dies to be the star of the card. I have used a lilac and white colour combination along with a very elegant hot foiled sentiment, white satin ribbon bow and a pretty flower with leaves to allow the lacy corners to shine! And the bonus is the card took no time at all to make!

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

My base card is a side folding 5″ x 7″ made from white carstock. I have layered the lilac pearl card with the white cardstock before adding the lacy corners to the top lilac layer. I have added a white satin ribbon on the diagonal before adding the top layer on the card front.

To complete the card I have added a double white satin bow with a flower from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go III Flowers and a leaf from the Amazing Paper Grace Sweet Cottage Flowers to the diagonal ribbon, pearls to the decorative dies and a hot foiled sentiment in silver from the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Occasions hot Foil Plate and Coordinating Die.

Pink Fresh Studio Challenge November 2024

Kia ora Koutou

I have been out of action for a while due to having surgery on a couple of fingers and missed last month’s Pink Fresh Studio challenge and it has taken a while to get back into cardmaking again.

This month’s challenge at Pink Fresh Studio is ‘Thank You’ and the following ink shades are the best matches for the colors in the challenge: Waterfall, Begonia, Mimosa, Citron & Storm.

It is always handy to have Thank You cards in my stash so I thought I would have a play with some new products at the same time. I have recently purchased the Pink Fresh Studio Dotted Fancy Frames and thought I would make a shaped easel card with the dies and it just looks gorgeous! My inspiration for adding the flowers to the front has come from one of the Pink Fresh Studio designers on Instagram a while ago.

I have hot foiled the flowers, butterflies and the sentiment using Aura foil and coloured the images with the challenge inks before embellishing the front of the card and creating the easel. A light sprinkling of glitter and some iridescent dew drops add the finishing touches to the card.

Scroll past the photos for a list of the products I have used.

Sweet Amazing Paper Grace Baby Boy Card

Kia ora Koutou

I have another sweet baby boy card to share with you today. This time I have made a gorgeous shaped card using the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month July 2022 – Tiara Trifold Etched Dies and decorated it with some lovely soft knit blue patterned paper by Mintay. Most of the embellishments came from this die set with the ‘baby boy’ word dies from the Amazing Paper Grace My Sweet Friend Etched Dies. This card was so quick and easy to make and so pretty with the gorgeous paper.

Check out Becca Feeken’s video here on how you can make bifold, trifold and many more options on YouTube here.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card I have made a bi-fold card usinf the base and decorative tiara inerts from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month July 2022 – Tiara Trifold Etched Dies out of heavy weight pearl cardstock. I die cut two plain panels out of the blue pattern paper and two decorative panels out of pearl cardstock. I adhered the decorative dies to the paper panels and then adhered the panels to the front and back of the card.

I decorated both front and backs of the card using the flowers and leaf dies that came with the Tiara Trifold die set. I added a ‘Hello’ sentiment to the front of the card and also added the small label die to the bottom of the card front with foam tape. This was decorated with some flowers and the ‘baby boy’ word dies from the Amazing Paper Grace My Sweet Friend Etched Dies which I die cut from the pattern paper.

To complete the card I added pearls to the decorative top, flower centres and on the trellis on the front of the card and a sweet bird above the flower on the front of the card.

Thanks Amazing Paper Grace

Kia ora Koutou

This week I have a simpler card to share with you made using one of my favourite Amazing Paper
Grace dies – Tallulah Frill. This die set is just so beautiful and one I reach for a lot when I want to make timeless and classic cards that will become keepsakes. I have not been able to do much cardmaking lately, but I have been learning how to colour with Copic markers through some classes at Kit and Clowder which I am really enjoying as I have always loved colouring. So I decided to combine my love for cardmaking with my love for colouring and this card was the result.

The image I have coloured here is a digital stamp from Beccys’ Place and the Amazing Paper Grace Tallulah Frill die set went perfectly with it to create a pretty lacy frame to create an elegant card that can be kept to decorate a mantel or table.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

I have made a top folding 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base out of white cardstock and then matted a lifht teal card on top leaving a narrow white mat.

I downloaded the digital stamp onto X-Pressit Paper and then coloured it with Copic markers. I trimmed this to 4 1/8″ x 2 7/8″.

I die cut two outer decorative frames using the Amazing Paper Grace Tallulah Frill die set and one decorative edge out of white cardstock. I added the decorative edge die behind one short edge of the frame before adding the second frame beneath the first frame. I then adhered the coloured panel behind the frame, making sure the white does not show behind the small lacey edge inside the frame. This frame was then added to the card front.

To complete the card I added clear Wink of Stella to the flowers and cup and pearls to the decorative frame.
