Layering Dies with Amazing Paper Grace

Kia ora Koutou

My card today has been cased from a card I saw on YouTube which I have always loved. However, I have switched it up by making a square card with matted layers and dimension for the base of the card and using a different hero die – the Amazing Paper Grace Graceful Doily Etched Dies – and I have also used handcrafted flowers to embellish the card. I have also used a stunning pink and ivory colour combination that really shows the delicacy and elegance of the Amazing Paper Grace dies.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card I have created a top folding 6″ x 6″ base card out of white cardstock. I then layered ivory pearl cardstock with pearl rose gold cardstock followed by ivory pearl cardstock and pink flocked pattern paper that has been added using fun foam.

I die cut the middle sized rectangle from using the Amazing Paper Grace Hemstitch Rectangles Etched Dies out of pearl ivory cardstock and added it to the centre of the card front with foam strips.

For the second layer of dies I die cut the decorative circle die from the Amazing Paper Grace Graceful Doily Etched Dies out of pearl ivory cardstock and added it to the centre of the rectangle using some fun foam for more dimension. I dent die cut a circle out of the patterned paper and added it to the centre of the decorative circle.

I have die cut two inner decorative ovals from the Amazing Paper Grace Victoriana Crest out of pearl ivory paper and stacked the two ovals together before adding it to the front of the patterned circle.

For my final layer I die cut a small rectangle from the Amazing Paper Grace Hemstitch Rectangles Etched Dies and added it over the oval and base layering dies with foam strips.

I have hot foiled the sentiment from the Heart Felt Sentiments Hot Foil Plate in Aura foil on Hammermill paper and then die cut it with the coordinating die. I also die cut another two plain dies and stacked these together with the foiled sentiment on top and added it to the centre of the frames.

I have die cut the flowers using the flower dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month June 2020 Snip it grid and Calendar Creator Etched Dies out of Barely Peach Cardstock. I added some Kitsch Flamingo ink to the centre of the flowers, shaped the petals with my fingers and then assembled the flowers with two petals. I die cut the large and medium sized stamens using the dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Cinch and Go Blossoms Etched Dies out of flower shaping paper. I coloured the stamens with Lemon Whip ink and then shaped them with a ball stylus. I adhered two of each sized together making sure they overlapped and then added the larger and smaller stamens to the centre of the flower. I then added a pink iridescent jewel to the centre of the flower before adding it to the top left of the frame.

I die cut the leaves out of green cardstock using the dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month June 2020 Snip it grid and Calendar Creator Etched Die. Coloured the edges with Mowed Lawn ink, shaped them with my fingers before adding them around the flower.

I die cut the flower out of white cardstock using the Amazing Paper Grace Spring Label Motif Etched Dies, coloured them with pink ink before assembling them. The flower was then added to the card with a triple layer of foam square behind the flower and leaves.

I then die cut more green leaves using the Amazing Paper Grace Layered Lilies Etched Dies and coloured the edges with Mowed Lawn ink before added them to the card under the frame.

I die cut the small leaves from light green cardstock using the Amazing Paper Grace Petite Floral Potpourri Etched Dies and added small sprigs around the flowers and leaves.

To finish my card I have added small pearls to the doily die and medium pearls to the floral oval die.

Hope Your Day is Wonderful with Pink Fresh Studio

Kia ora Koutou

Here is my final submission for this month for the Pink Fresh Studio September Challenge 2024. This month challenge is creating using leaves and wreaths and the colour combination is Raspberry Bliss, Paradise, Mulberry Blush, Mimosa, & Citron.

For this card I have used the Pink Fresh Studio English Garden Washi tape to create the wreath using the Pink Fresh Studio Fancy Circles Dies as a guide to making the wreath.

I watched a video by Jennifer McGuire on how the get more out of vellum and I was inspired to use the Pink Fresh Studio Stained Glass die to die cut the background out of vellum and then coloured it with Mint ink. This technique made a soft background that still harmonised with the washi tape images.

The sentiment has been hot foiled with gold foil from the Pink Fresh Studio Wonderful Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and the die cut with the coordinating die. I also die cut several plain dies to stack together and with the foiled sentiment on top I have added it to the centre of the circle.

Pink Fresh Studio Challenge Card

Kia ora Koutou

I have another card for you today for the Pink Fresh Studio September Challenge 2024. This month challenge is creating using leaves and wreaths and the colour combination is Raspberry Bliss, Paradise, Mulberry Blush, Mimosa, & Citron.

My second card for this challenge is quite different from the first card. I have used the Pink Fresh Studio Vines and Roses Stamp, Stencil and Dies focusing more on the leaves and small single florals to create a wreath. I have used the same inks as last time but the colours turned out quite different – especially on the leaves where I have only used the Citron and Paradise inks very lightly for a two tone effect which is lovely and fresh.

My card is a top folding 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card made from white cardstock. I have matted some silver cardstock with a smaller card that I have hot foiled using the Pink Fresh Studio Plaid Press Plate in Matte Silver and Prism foil.

The foliage and flowers from the Pink Fresh Studio Vines and Roses Stamp, Stencil and Dies were stamped with Detail Black ink and then coloured with the challenge inks using the coordinating stencils before be die cut with the coordinating dies.

I have die cut a large and small circle frame using the Pink Fresh Studio Pink Fresh Studio Fancy Circles Dies to create the base for the wreath. I added the large frame on the card and then added some leaves around the frame to create the base of the wreath. I then added the small frame over the top with some foam strips before adding the floral sprays around the circle.

I hot foiled the sentiment from the Pink Fresh Studio Wonderful Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and Die in Prism foil on Hammermill cardstock. I also die cut another plain die and stacked it with the foiled sentiment on top. This was added to the middle of the wreath with foam strips.

To finish the card I added some silver pearls around the sentiment and wreath.

Amazing Paper Grace Hello It’s Your Birthday Card

Kia ora Koutou

I often like to make more than one card at a time when I have a die out just to get a feel of how versatile the die set is. And the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month March 2019 – Spun Blessing Oval Etched Dies was no exception. For my card today I have used the small decorative side panels to create a pretty background for the sweet flowers and the sentiment and I kept the same colour combination that I used in the previous card as it was just beautiful and elegant. This card was very quick and easy to made and great to have in my stash.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card I made a top folding 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card out of white cardstock. I cut a piece of ivory pearl card to fit on top of the card.

I die cut the frame using the largest frame dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Hemstitch Rectangle Etched Dies out of ivory pearl cardstock and made sure to emboss the die to get the texture and dimension from the die. I die cut a shadow frame out of silver cardstock by removing the decorative die from the frame. I adhered the silver shadow frame to the decorative frame and then adhere the frame to the front of the card using foam strips.

I die cut the panel out of green pearl cardstock by using the decorative side pattern twice to create a 4 1/4″ x 3 1/2″ and this was adhered to the front of the card. I stamped the birthday sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace Giving Occasions Stamp and Die Set in Versamark ink on the green pearl cardstock and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder. I die cut this out with the coordinating die from the same stamp and die set. The sentiment was then added to the card with foam squares.

I die cut the word ‘Hello’ using the die from the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month July 2021 – Tiara Trifold Etched Dies three times – once from silver cardstock and twice with pearl green cardstock. I stacked these dies toghether with the silver die on top and then added it at an angle above the sentiment as shown.

I die cut flowers out of pink cardstock and leaves out of a mint coloured green cardstock using the dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Petite Floral Potpourri Etched Dies. I added some flowers and leaves from the top right and bottom left of the card and finished the card by adding some pearls to the centres of the flowers.

Honey Bee Stamps Buzzworthy Challenge Bells Will Be Ringing

Kia ora Koutou

Here is my second card for the Honey Bee Stamps Buzzworthy Challenge on Facebook. The challenge for this month is to use stripes and I have made another Christmas card that is so festive with the traditional colours of gold, reds and greens with a diagonal stripe in red sparkles

I have hot foiled the Pink Fresh Studio Diagonal Plaid Press Plate in red glitter foil for the striped background. I have also hot foiled plain cardstock with the same red glitter foil and the Aura foil and die cut the bells, the ribbon and the berries from this coloured card. The bells really sparkle and all the gold is so shiny and the decorative elements harmonise well together. The matted layer of gold behind the striped layer is also hot foiled using the Aura foil and was left after die cutting the gold frame out.

I have used the Honey Bee Stamps Pierced Fancy Flakes A2 Cover Plate on white cardstock and die cut it out with the medium plain edge die from the Pink Fresh Studio Notched Corner dies. For the frame I have hot foiled the Pink Fresh Studio Notched Corner dies with Aura foil and then die cut a frame with the coordinating dies. This was added to the pierced white base with foam tape for dimension.

Once the bells and the bow had been assembled I added them to the top left corner of the frame using foam tape. I then added foliage cut from various green and brown cardstocks plus the red berries using the Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Winter Greenery die set over the top of the bells as shown.

The bird has come from the Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Spring Birds and is nestled among the greenery.

The sentiment is from the Pink Fresh Studio Foiled Sentiments 4 Holiday Pack and has been added to the card using foam tape.

To make the red sparkles I used a red Copic marker to colour clear sparkles which were then added to the card around the sentiment and on the bow for extra sparkle.

Amazing Paper Grace With Love

Kia ora Koutou

Today I have a sweet and simple card to share with you today made using the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month June 2019 – Enchanting Battenburg Corners Etched Dies. Sometimes a simple and yet so elegant card is all you need to convey your feelings and this card says it all. Becca Feeken often takes her inspiration from traditional sewing and needlework techniques and many of the Amazing Paper Grace dies are designed to be embossed to create the look of lace. The Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month June 2019 – Enchanting Battenburg Corners Etched Dies were designed to create the beautiful textures that is reminiscent of the beautiful Battenberg lace. You can find out more about the origin of Battenburg lace here.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my card I have made a top folding 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card out of white cardstock.

I created the shadow for the lace dies by using the corner edge dies on two sides of a piece of 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ blue cardstock. I then die cut two complete corner dies using the small lace corner dies out of white cardstock and embossed them to create the texture. These were then added to the shadow die.

I die cut a small label from white cardstock and the next size up label out of blue cardstock using the Amazing Paper Grace Franscesca Labels Etched Dies. I glued the white label to the blue label before adding it to the centre of the decorative dies.

I then cut a piece of blue cardstock 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ and embossed it using the Amazing Paper Grace Orange Peel 3D Embossing Folder. I added the decorative medallion I had created to this using foam tape.

I added a strip of white satin ribbon across the centre of the decorative medallion and adhered it behind the embossed card and then added the entire panel to the front of the card.

I stamped the sentiment from Beccy’s Place Magnolia Stamp set on white cardstock using Tuxedo Black ink and then die cut it out using the small tag die from the Amazing Paper Grace Cascading Grace Etched Dies. This was then added to the centre of the labels using some foam tape.

To complete the card I added a double bow using the white satin ribbon and some pearls to the decorative die and on the bow.

Pink Fresh Studio September 2024 Challenge Card

Kia ora Koutou

I have a card for you today for the Pink Fresh Studio September Challenge 2024. This month challenge is creating using leaves and wreaths and the colour combination is Raspberry Bliss, Paradise, Mulberry Blush, Mimosa, & Citron.

This challenge was a little difficult for me as I do not have a wide range of Pink Fresh Studio products. So I looked at what I did have where the leaves are separate from the flowers and found a couple of stamps I could use. One of the stamp/stencil/die sets I did have where the leaves were separate was the Magnolias which is an older set but still beautiful and I was able to make a wreath with the images.

To create my card I made a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ top folding card out of white cardstock. I cut a piece of white cardstock 4″ x 5 1/4″ and ink blended the bottom left of the card using Citron and Paradise inks leaving the top right corner with no colour. I then added Raspberry Bliss, Mulberry Blush and Mimosa inks to the Pink Fresh Studio Pink Fresh Studio Plaid Press Plate and embossed a piece of scrap paper with it to take most of the ink off the plate. I then spritzed some water on the plate and dabbed it with a cloth before embossing with the ink blended card twice – once with a vertical stripe and once with a horizontal stripe. I got a lovely soft plaid effect with lots of texture and this was adhered to the card front.

I adhered a circle frame with foam tape to the front of the card using the Pink Fresh Studio Essentials Stitched Scallop Circle Dies as a base to add the flowers and leaves on to create the wreath.

I stamped several images from the Pink Fresh Studio Magnolias Stamp set on white card using Detail Black ink. I coloured the images using the challenge inks – Citron and Paradise for the leaves and Mimosa, Mulberry Blush and Raspberry Bliss to the flowers and Citron, Mulberry Blush and Mimosa to the stems before die cutting with the coordinating die. I added the flowers and leaves over the circle frame starting with the full magnolia bloom on the bottom left and worked my way around the frame. I also added some leaves under the flowers and leaves to create more dimension.

I added some Sparkling Dust to the flowers and leaves using the fine tip on my My Sweet Petunia Precision Glue Press for some subtle shine and sparkle.

The sentiment is from the Pink Fresh Studio Wonderful Sentiments set and was hot foiled with Aura foil. As I was foiling this the die moved slightly which gave me a more solid sentiment and worked well with the card. I die cut three more plain dies and stacked them together with the foiled sentiment on top and this was added to the centre of the frame adding some foam tape to ensure the sentiment was level.

The small butterflies were hot foiled with Aura foil using the Pink Fresh Studio Small Butterflies Hot Foil Plate. The butterflies were coloured using the stencils with Mimosa, Raspberry Bliss, Mulberry Blush and Licorice inks and then die cut with the coordinating die. I added these on the card using some foam squares on the wings for more dimension.

To finish my card I added some Pink Fresh Studio Gems: Clear with gold dust to the centre of the large floral, the butterflies and around the sentiment and the outside of the frame.

Honey Bee Stamps Falala Christmas Card

Kia ora Koutou

Gee I can’t believe we are into September already and Christmas is coming whether we like it or not! Today I have used the Honey Bee Stamps Buzzworthy Challenge on Facebook to get some more Christmas Cards done. The challenge was to make a project using stripes and they were perfect for my cards.

For my card I have created a top folding 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card out of white cardstock. I made the stripes for the background using the Pink Fresh Studio Plaid Press Plate on my Glimmer machine using Prism foil on Hammermill cardstock for a more holographic finish to the background. This was trimmed to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and matted to silver cardstock before adhering to the card front. I added a circle frame using the Amazing Paper Grace Hemstitch Oval dies – I have embossed the white circle die cut and added a silver shadow before adding to the top half of the card using some foam strips for more dimension.

I added foliage to the bottom half of the circular frame using the Honey Bee Stamps:Lovely Layers – Winter Greenery Die set – branches, pine leaves, and mistletoe.

The gorgeous poinsettia is from the Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Poinsettia Honey Cuts and I have coloured the flower with pink inks before assembling together using some foam squares for more dimension and I used some silver glitter card for the centre of the poinsettias. The poinsettia was then adhered over the foliage using foam squares. The leaves were coloured with green inks and then added under the poinsettia as shown. To finish the poinsettia I have added some sparkle by using a fine tip on my adhesive bottle on the flowers and sprinkling Sparkling Dust to create some subtle sparkle without being over the top.

The robin is from the Honey Bee Stamps: Lovely Layers – Spring Birds Honey Cuts and was perched above the poinsettia on the left of the frame.

I was feeling lazy and added a sentiment from the Pink Fresh Studio Foiled Sentiments 4 Holiday Pack in silver to the top right of the frame with foam squares in the centre to keep the sentiment level. (Actually to be fair I do not have many Christmas sentiments that can be hot foiled).

To complete the card I have added some silver pearls around the sentiment and around the frame.

An Amazing Paper Grace Rose and Filigree Birthday Card

Kia Ora Koutou

One of my favourite colour combinations when making cards is pink and gold and today I have a gorgeous birthday card just full of pink and gold with a touch of ivory. In June of this year I made a totally different card (for me that is) using the Amazing Paper Grace Rose and Filigree Duo Slip in Card Etched Dies that was full of drama with a black and red colour combination and yet was very easy to make using the ‘slip in’ component of the dies. You can see the card here. For today’s card I have used the rose filigree decorative dies to create a beautiful background for some layered dies, some cherry blossoms and a lovely birthday sentiment finished with a coordinating pink and gold silk ribbon bow.

Dies were provided by Amazing Paper Grace for today’s creations.

My Project

For my project today I have created a top folding 5″ x 6 card out of white cardstock. I trimmed a piece of pink and cream striped paper from Mintay and added added a strip of pink and gold ribbon down the centre of the paper before adding it to the front of the card.

I die cut four decorative rose filigree dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Rose and Filigree Duo Slip in Card Etched Dies – two from pink cardstock and two from gold cardstock. The gold dies were adhered behind the pink dies slightly offset for a hint of gold. These dies were then added to the front of the card.

I die cut a piece of pink cardstock using the base die from the same die set and used my trimmer to cut a frame 1/4 wide out of the paper. I then added the frame to the front of the card with some foam strips.

For the oval frames in the centre of the card I used cream and gold cardstocks using the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Twist Oval Etched dies, pink cardstock for the Amazing Paper Grace Petite Picot Etched Dies and cream cardstock for the Amazing Paper Grace Fluted Oval Etched Dies on top.

I made some cherry blossoms using the dies from the Amazing Paper Grace Layered Cherry Blossoms Etched Dies out of pink cardstock, the leaves from green cardstock and the branch from brown cardstock. I added some Cherry Blossom inks to the centre of the pinks flowers before assembling them. The flowers were draped over the top right of the oval frames.

The sentiment is from the Amazing Paper Grace Make a Scene Celebration Scene Etched Dies and I have die cut three layers – two from pink cardstock and one from gold cardstock. This was then added to the centre of the oval frames on an angle.

To finish the card I have added a pink and gold silk ribbon bow to the top of the card and added some gold pearls to the bow, the centres of the flowers and to highlight the sentiment.
