I just can’t resist taking photos of roses and this rose was really high and the late evening sun was just touching this rose to create lovely patterns of light and dark.

Another still life from the beach. It was another warm and sunny day and the breeze from the harbour was very pleasant.

Another seagull picture. This one was resting a leg. I like the bokeh affect of the waves in the background.

Two days ago I went to Petone Beach to take photographs of the Queen Mary II in Wellington Harbour. I took the opportunity of trying out taking photos of different subjects to have a change from flower photos. Here are a few shots that I took.

I went out again later in the afternoon and took more photos and I was really pleased with this photo. I am very pleased with what I have achieved today. I hope I have another good day tomorrow.
Happy snapping
The last photo for the day. The bees have been really busy and I am happy with the results.
Have a good day and Happy Snapping.

Another favourite photo of mine. You can just see the bee peeping out of the snapdragon flower. I have had a good day with the camera today. Some days are better than other and it is worth waiting for them.

Another one of my favourite photos from today’s photography session. It has been hard to decide which is the best one.

I have been informed that the insect is a hoverfly and not a bee. Â I think I need to brush up on my insects lol

Today I have been outside in the bright sunshine taking photos. I still have a few Paris Daisies in the garden and the bees were very busy collecting pollen. It is a real challenge being fast enough to get good photos and this was one of the best I took. I am pleased with how it turned out. I love the contrast with the bright yellow flower and the subdued dark background. Forever a taste of a late summer in New Zealand.
Happy Snapping

I have been informed on Flickr that the insect is a Hoverfly not a bee.

Hi there
Following on from my Facebook digital art I decided to do a layout for Pinterest.  I have got a lot of inspiration for my crafts from Pinterest and this is my acknowledgment of the influence it has on my creations.  I have still managed to make the page pink, despite Pinterest having a red logo.  If you haven’t guessed it yet my favourite colour is pink and if I can I add pink somewhere I will.  A rose also managed to sneak in on the page as well.   I have copied and pasted the logos of Pinterest from a Google search. For further information about how I achieved this layout please head over to my Digital Creations page.
