Chic Pink Carnations

Kia Ora and Welcome Back

Here is my second project for the Heartfelt Creations Design Team for this week.  The first one was a lovely trinket box and you can check it out here: https://wp.me/p2MuRN-13Y

The Camelia Carnation paper collection is just so beautiful that I did not want to really cut into but I had to.  This card has been made with one of the 6″ x 6″ panels and I have decorated the bottom of the card so as to show the beautiful flowers at the top!

Instructions:

Cut a piece of white cardstock at 6” x 12” and score at 6” along the long side to make the base card.  Cut a piece of green cardstock 6 ¼” x 6 ¼” and adhere it to the front of the card.  Cut the 6” x 6” patterned panel and adhere to the front of the card.  Cut a strip of white cardstock 3” x 6 ½” and using the straight border die from the HCD1-7161 Sweetheart Borders Die set cut the lace edges on both sides.  Trim to fit the front and adhere to the card as shown.  Cut a piece of green cardstock 6 ¼” x ¾” and adhere over the lace borders in the centre.   Cut a piece of light green patterned paper 6 ¼” x ½” and adhere over the green cardstock.  Add a line of pearls to the centre of this trim.

To make the sentiment stamp the image from the HCPC-3803 Banners of Love Stamp set in Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock.  Colour the images using a Dove Blender pen and the stack and store daubers using the Canteloupe, Pearlescent Coral, and Bamboo Leaves before die cutting with the coordinating die.  Shape and adhere in the centre over the pearls.

To make the flowers stamp the images from the HCPC-3806 Small Carnation Stamp set in Stazon Cherry Pink on Art Foam paper and die cut with the coordinating die.  Sponge the edges with Rose stamp paint with a damp sponge.  Add Frosting Powder using Dries Clear glue on a damp sponge.  Heat and shape with your fingers.  Adhere the petals together with a hot glue gun and pierce the centre with a piercing tool before inserting the wire stamen.  Trim the end of the wire and seal with hot glue gun before adhering around the sentiment as shown.

To make the leaves stamp the leaf images from the Small Carnation stamp set on Art Foam Paper in Forest Green ink.  Sponge the leaves with Lime Pastel ink and die cut using the coordinating dies.  Sponge the edges with Grass Green stamp paint, heat and shape lightly.  Adhere around the flowers as shown with a hot glue gun.

Mix 2 red rock candy and 1 green wire stamens together at different lengths, trim and adhere around the flowers and sentiment usng the hot glue gun.

Add Crystal glitter to the image at the top of the card with Dries Clear glue.

Happy Crafting

  1. Good for you, cutting into that paper! Sometimes it’s just so hard, but if you don’t do it, I think that’s the first step in becoming a hoarder! 🙂

Hope you have fun with the scraps!

I love pink and green together; it always looks so fresh! Beautiful card as always!
