It is time for Inspiration Wednesday from Heartfelt Creations and I have another very cute Young at Heart card for you.  This would make a lovely card to give to the men (and women!)  in your life and it is very easy to do.

Other – Stamp positioner, Heart of Gold Prills

Instructions:

Cut a piece of black card 12” x 6”, score at 6” along the long side and fold to make a base card of 6” x 6”.  Cut the 6” x 6” panel with the black and white checker board pattern and adhere to the base card.

Assemble the shadow box. Cut a piece of panel paper featuring the red car 5” x 5” and using a stamp positioner stamp the sentiment from the HCPC-3802 Good Times Sentiment Stamp Set and adhere to the inside of the box.  Cut a piece of blue patterned paper 5” x 5” and die cut the centre out with the die from the ….  Adhere to the front of the box.  Cut 4 pieces of blue patterned paper 5” x ½” and adhere to the sides of the box.  Adhere the box to the front of the card base.

Stamp the path image from the HCPC-37772 Wildwood Cottage Accents stamp set in Tuxedo Black on white cardstock. Sponge the path with Toffee Crunch ink lightly and the grass with Bamboo Leaves ink before die cutting with the coordinating die.  Shape with the Deluxe Flower Shaping kit and adhere to the bottom left of the box.

Stamp the Happy Birthday flag sentiment from the HCPC-3801 Simply Classic Stamp Set with Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock.  Sponge with Canteloupe ink and die cut with the coordinating die.  Adhere to the bottom right of the box as shown.

Stamp the leaf images from the HCPC-3802 Good Times Sentiment Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black on white cardstock.  Sponge the leaves with Bamboo Leaves ink and die cut with the coordinating die.  Shape using the Deluxe Flower Shaping kit and adhere to the left front of the box and the back of the car, and around the birthday flag as shown.

Stamp the flowers from the HCPC-3769 Wildwood Floral stamp set with Tangelo ink on white cardstock.  Sponge the images with Canteloupe ink before die cutting with the coordinating die.  Shape using the Deluxe Flower Shaping kit and adhere to the card as shown.  Add Heart of Gold Prills to the centre of the flowers with Dries Clear glue.

Stamp the flowers from the HCPC-3795 Window Box Fillers stamp set in Teal Zeal ink on white cardstock.  Using the stack and store daubers colour the flowers with Teal Zeal and die cut with the coordinating die.  Trim the flowers of the stems and shape before adding to the card as shown. Add Heart of Gold Prills to the centre of the flowers with Dries Clear glue.

Stamp the small birds from the HCPC-3768 Woodsy Critters stamp set with Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock and die cut with the coordinating die.  Sponge the top of the birds with Summer Sky ink and the bottoms of the birds with Canteloupe ink.  Shape lightly and adhere to the card as shown.

  1. These shadow boxes are so cool, and I love the old fashioned car image. It looks like the driver picked a bunch of flowers from this garden to give the the birthday gal! 🙂
