Elegant Wedding Card

Kia Ora and Welcome Back

Today I would like to share a card that I have just completed.  I have just got in the new 3D embossing folders from Crafter’s Companion and I love this embossing folder – Ornate Lace.  The Heartfelt Creations Classic Roses in vellum complement the folder perfectly and I have nestled the rings from the Classic Wedding Roses stamp and die set amongst the flowers for a lovely and elegant wedding card.  I struggled with putting a sentiment on and ended up die cutting the congratulations out of gold foil card.

Materials used:

Cardstock – Heartfelt Creations White Cardstock, Gold Foil cardstock

Stamps – Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose, Classic Wedding Roses

Dies – Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose, Classic Wedding Roses, Spellbinders Die D-Lites Sentiment One

Embossing Folder – Crafter’s Companion 3D Ornate Lace

Inks – Brilliance Pearlescent Coral, Memento Bamboo Leaves, Colorbox Frost White, Versamark

Ranger White embossing powder

Ranger Gold embossing powder

Art Glitter Dries Clear glue

Rajni Chawla’s Crystal Clear

Vellum

Instructions:

Base Card – cut a piece of white cardstock at 10″ x 7″, score and crease along the long side at 5″ to create a base card of 5″ x 7″.  Cut a piece of white cardstock at 4 3/4″ x 6 3/4″ and emboss using the embossing folder.  Adhere to the front of the card.

To make the flowers stamp the images from the Classic Rose stamp set with the Frost White and heat emboss with the white embossing powder.  Colour the back of the images with the Pearlescent Coral and die cut.  I have pleated the flowers and then adhered them together with the Dries Clear glue.  Add Simply White Nuvo Drops to the centres and let dry.

To make the leaves stamp the image from the Classic Rose stamp set in Frost White and heat emboss with the white embossing powder.  Sponge with Bamboo Leaves ink on the back and die cut with the coordinating die.  I have lightly folded the leaves for dimension.

Add the leaves and roses to the card front as shown.

Stamp the rings image from the Classic Wedding Roses stamp set in Versamark ink and heat emboss with the gold embossing powder.  Die cut with the coordinating die and add Crystal Clear glitter to the diamond.  Nestle the die in the flowers as shown.

Die cut the sentiment from the Spellbinders Sentiments One die in gold foil cardstock and adhere to the bottom right with Dries Clear glue.

Have a good week and Happy Crafting

  1. I most often leave out a sentiment unless I’m making a card for a specific person. Then usually, I still skip it and write a note inside. Makes the card more versatile if it’s for my stash.

For this beauty, Congratulations is the perfect sentiment, and it looks really nice in the gold to match the wedding rings. Have a wonderful day!!
