Today I would like to share with you this card which features the March SOTM Happy Place S1403A available exclusively throughout February for $29 or for just $5 when you spend $75.
I have been very busy this week so I had to do a card very quickly this morning and I hope that it has turned out ok. I have used a combination of colours which I would normally never use, but that is the beauty of CTMH – the colours coordinate so well.
This stamp set is so cute and the sentiments would be wonderful on a scrapbook layout with mother and daughter photos.
For this card I have also used the Quatrefoil embossing folder again and then stamped tone on tone for the top part of the card. All the pieces have been distressed with Desert Sand ink. For the sentiment I have used one of the dimensional elements (which I need to learn to use a lot more!). I have sponged it with Desert Sand ink and then stamped the sentiment with Black ink. The heart has been stamped with Black ink on Ruby cardstock and then fussy cut. The Russian doll has been stamped on White Daisy cardstock and then coloured in with the CTMH alcohol markers, fussy cut out and then adhered with foam tape.
Materials used:
Cardstock – Pear, Indian Corn Blue, White Daisy
Inks – Pear, Black, Desert Sand
Stamps – Happy Place, Scandanavian Wishes (NLA)
Alcohol markers – Buttercup, Sweet Leaf, Ruby, Indian Corn Blue
Happy Place is only available until 28th February from your CTMH coCnsultant. Please visit my shop here if you would like to know more about the products that I have used. I’d love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop, Jenny at Jen’s Creative Classroom.
Happy Crafting

I like how you used the stamps to make pattern paper to work with your main stamp image. I just love Quatrefoil embossing folder & you used it well on this.
Thank you Maz 🙂
I can’t wait to get an embossing machine! It adds such a lift to the plain card
Thank you Shaunna. I have had my Cuttlebug for several years and it is my go to machine for a quick fix to lift a project. 🙂
Patricia lovely as always. Think I need to try out these embossing folders, they look so good on cards. 🙂
Thank you Jenny – I love embossing as the the texture makes a huge difference, particularly on small projects. I look forward to seeing what you come up with too. 🙂
Wow, this is gorgeous! I love the colours you have used and that embossing looks wonderful.
Thank you Lauren 🙂
Love your card Patricia. Love both the embossing and the tone on tone home made patterned paper. Looks like a lot more than a quick job!
